ix-ex-splue, a strange outfit indeed, not interested in borders, drawers, or file ledgers. No style-categories at all, aiming for new sound horizons, fresh structures, sonic pulses, and impulses for a disturbed and disturbing era. It was a glorious approach. Embedded in a glorious scene, a field full of controversies, malicious discussions, eccentric personal points of view, and colliding musical interests even inside the band. All-together a very rich and creamy bitches' brew of characters and — let's say — music (but I’m tempted to call it «Klang» or even «Lärm», the second with a slightly post-ironic touch though). After releasing several audio cassettes in the eighties, ix-ex-splue published their debut vinyl album in 1989 by keeping their own hypnotizing and alternating acidly sound structure. This peculiar attitude towards song writing leads the listener to a 40 mn journey alongside a road accompanied by fury, sadness and hope.
